Growth Hormone!
We started AM on growth hormone last night. I think this is what made everything real to me. I hate that I have to stick a needle in my little girl every night. I hope that soon they will have a cure and no other mother has to go through this with their child. I love her and I pray God uses her life in a mighty way. That's what keeps me going!

STRESSED OUT!!!
Maybe its all that is going on in this month and the coming months, but I am about to explode!
January has proved to be an eventful month. I started back at work earlier this month, Miles turned 3 as you know, I'm trying to get Ann Margret hooked up with all her therapies as well as get some cost assistance for her medical expenses, and to top all that off... POTTY TRAINING! Needless to say my 3 year old may be closer to 4 before he gets there at this point. February will be even busier with Mitchell gearing up for DNOW, a worship leader conference in ATL, a new baby cousin, and who knows what else. So, if you see me out in public with blood shot eyes from a mental and emotional breakdown you'll know why.
On the bright side of things, Ann Margret is still steadily gaining weight (although not as quickly as I had hoped), she is moving her extremities more and has started to move her head quite a bit (all this without any therapies yet... we won't get into that). I know for most parents these milestones go without a thought but for PWS kids this is an amazing accomplishment at her age. I can't wait to see what therapy does for her and her development as well as what growth hormone (GH) will do for her.

Miles is 3!
Tomorrow (well actually in 1 hr) my baby boy turns 3. Its hard to believe he is that old. I remember when he was just a little baby thinking I was going to kill someone/something if he didn't stop screaming... I still think that sometimes. No, but really, he is one of the loves of my life. There are times I want to send him far away but most of the time he is an amazing kid. He loves me no matter what. I cherish all the little things:
I love when he wants me to sleep on the floor in his room for "just a minute" and grabs my hand to hold.
When he is trying to get your attention and gets right in your face.
When he is running around playing and stops to come give me a hug.
How he laughs so hard when I start laughing.
How he imitates what I say or how I react to things
That we watch "Cars" and "Toy Story" a million times a day.
That he is so passionate about his cars. And has to have them everywhere he goes.
That he attached himself to Mitchell's childhood teddy bear.
Everyday he has a new favorite person.
The way he shares whatever you ask him to.
I love that he always give me a hug and kiss before bed.
He always kisses and hugs baby sister too.
That even if I have been absent for 5 minutes, he is excited to see me when I return and always offers a big hug.
He compliments me on my nail color or tells me I'm pretty (what an amazing feeling I get hearing that).
I could sit here for hours and rant about the little qualities I love about my little man. I am so proud to be his mom and cannot wait to see how he matures and what he becomes.
Miles, you are such a sweet and loving little boy. I thank God that he has entrusted me to be your mother. I pray that God will help me raise you so that you may reach your full potential in life. I am so proud of who you are even at just three years of age. I love you! Mommy.

Wow! its been a long, exciting, frightening, and emotional roller-coaster year.
In January my oldest turned two. He had a Thomas the Train party with LOTS of friends.
We also had some family photos taken.
February Miles got to experience snow for the second time. This time there was a lot more of it and we made a snowman.
also, we found out that we would be adding to our little family of three. We would now be a family of four. Happy Valentines day! Yes, we found out on Feb. 14th.
April Miles enjoyed hunting eggs at the annual easter egg hunt at Central. He even found a carrot this year and got a special prize.
we did our annual easter egg coloring at the Hinson's house. I hope miles is more into it next year. And we also hunted for eggs at nanny and papa's house in Thomaston.
May I celebrated my 3rd mothers day. I received a gift card to get my hair done, finally. One thing I gave up so we could pay down debt. We spent the day going to church and then relaxing at home.
We also found out that we would be having a GIRL! The first Bagley girl. Everyone was so excited. We went on family vacation to Destin and tossed around names all week. Miles' experience with the beach was the same as last year so we only went down there once and spent the rest of the time at the pool. Here are some pictures of our vacation.
Mitchell also graduated with his bachelors degree... Go Mitchell!
June we paid off the debt. What a weight taken off our shoulders. Now we could save money to help for when I would be out on maternity leave. We also celebrated Mitchell's 27th birthday
July we went to see the Fireworks at the stadium and actually sat on the field this year. Miles was scared of the noise but eventually calmed down and enjoyed the show.
we also got to celebrate Riley's 3rd birthday. Here is miles eating a cupcake.
I too got to celebrate my 27th birthday this month.
August was quite a fun and exciting month. We went to Chick-fil-a and got to see a firetruck and an ambulance. We got to tour the inside and sit in the drivers seat. Miles was, of course, timid at first but soon warmed up to it.
it was also a bitter sweet month for me. Miles had his first day of pre-school. He loves his friends and teacher Mrs. Kim, and is so happy to be able to spend two days a week with them. Here he is on his first day.
By October, I was hugely pregnant and ready to have the baby. I stayed at work until October 15 hoping she would come the next week. She didn't and I was induced on the 24th. Ann Margret Bagley made her arrival 30hrs later on Tuesday, October 26th. She had a head full of blonde hair and was so tiny at just 5lbs 10oz. We immediately fell deeply in love with her.
We spent halloween going to the harvest festival at church and at grams house. Miles was monkey and Ann Margret was his banana. They were so cute but I didn't remember to bring my camera so gram has those pictures. Remembering is a challenge for me at this point.
November we were still struggling to get Ann Margret to eat and gain weight. She was so lethargic that she wasn't interested in food. We spent every week at the doctor doing weight checks. Thanksgiving was fun. We spent it in Thomaston with Mitchell's family and ate plenty of good food. The day after thanksgiving we forwent the shopping and opted to take Miles to callaway gardens and see Fantasy in Lights for the first time. It was cold and rainy but we had a blast.
December 1st we went in for a Doctors appointment where Ann Margret's pediatrician gave us some results from blood work she had done. Ann Margret was diagnosed with a rare random genetic disease called Prader-Willi. We, of course, were devastated. We didn't know what all that meant for us and we still don't really know. We do know she is our gift from God and we are proud He has loaned her to us to take care of. We face a long and sometimes difficult road (but what parent doesn't) but we hold on to the fact that we know God will help us through it and provide everything we need. We were able to see a specialist in Florida on the 20th who gave us a great outlook for her and her future.
Christmas this year was extra special. Miles was able to enjoy and understand this year and he loved it. We did our normal tradition of spending christmas eve lunch in Thomaston and dinner at Nana and Papas with my family. Christmas eve was the first time some of my extended family got to meet Ann Margret. Santa came and visited Miles and he gave santa his pacifier so he would leave him some toys. This was such a big boy move considering just weeks early he moved into a big boy bed. He has transformed and grown so much in just a month. We are working on the potty training and hope to have it down soon. but I didn't want to put too much on him. Soon he will be a TRUE BIG BOY!
I Love being a mom and wouldn't trade my kids for any other. This year has been challenging and rewarding and i'm sure next year will be the same, but I'm ready to take it on!
